Projectors are less convenient, usually, than a large computer display, connected to a laptop. That means only two pieces of equipment to transport and set up instead of three. Also, you can be sure that there will be no image size or focus issues.

We have in-person presentations to various service organizations.  Often these meetings are in back rooms in restaurants or other meeting rooms without any technology for projecting slides or captioning.  We are thinking of purchasing a projector to project captioning onto a wall, portable screen or TV screen.  What suggestions do you have for us?
