Re: Speech to Text Apps
For cellphone calls I use InnoCaption (which captions my calls). Is this the situation to which you are referring?

Dear Ann,
Ah, yes, you are correct, as I found when I looked deeper just now. You're probably correct about the copyright infringement too. Still, the app works better for me than others have done,

The iPhone app you are referring to is not the same app as Gooogle Live Transcribe. Note the different logos.
At some point I imagine Google will address this copyright infringement.

Hello Marilyn,
It sounds like your hearing aids are paired to the iPhone and when you activate an app it is listening through it. I have resound too and what I do is swipe down the the quick screen

Do not update to the latest version of Zoom if you use ASR captions and the API code
#ZoomCaptions
I did a quick little test with the host and the participant both on v5.3.1.
Case 1 was the host manually typing the captions, worked acceptably.
Case 2 was with the WebCaptioner/VoiceMeeter

I do not have access to AVA/Zoom integration and thus unable to verify the AVA issue.
Hmmm... Version 5.3.1 is a prompted mandatory update. Thus, the most likely scenario is participants will be on

Does the Zoom closed captioning bug impact captioning provided by a human CART stenographer using the REST API token?

With the new Zoom update if you view Ava in a separate browser window Ava works just fine. It is a Zoom problem. When I reverted to the previous version of Zoom it eliminated the API token integration

InnoCaption deskview is in a separate browser window and doesn't actually integrate into Zoom so it shouldn't affect the captions in deskview. Plese let us all know if there are any problems.

Enabling the waiting room automatically disables the setting for allowing participants to join before host.
So people would have to sign in with a password to use Join Before Host.

What about setting up a host key? Then a participant joining before the host could claim the key, accessing all the features of a host, including access to the CC feature and API
