I have to check for updates every time I Zoom since they are doing so many of them, It is weird that there is no auto update or auto notification of updates in Zoom. Weird.

I use the "check for updates" feature.
Open Zoom
Click on your picture / your profile
See "Check for Updates" 4 from the bottom.
I do have a "paid" version at the lowest level.

Thank you Alan. We have used both Google Meets and Zoom during the past 2 years. We’ve decided to purchase the Zoom Pro program for the chapter because it just seems to work better for us.

Zoom Acting Crazy After 5.7.7 Release

If anyone experienced problems after updating to Zoom version 5.7.7, Zoom released 5.7.8, which seems to fix all the crazies that happened after the .7 update. Issues ran the gamut from freezing,

Re: personal amplifier app?
I would love to use Live Listen, but it appears Phonak is the only hearing aid it doesn’t work with.
I tested HeardThat (Which I think is the name.) because they had a free app for people to test it

Walt, there are a couple of ways to get speech to text on a computer. The first is an app that is built into Windows Ease of Access called Speech Recognition. You can als get Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Re: I don’t TYPE very well ! and My Doctor can’t TYPE
The type of app you are looking for is called an automatic speech recognition (ASR) captioning app. An app using ASR does not require a live Captioner to type what is spoken.

BothMicrosoft Translate and Otter speech to text would work well, especially with a good microphone.

Re: Speech to. Text for iPhones
Probably the most popular telephone captioning app for smartphone calls is InnoCaption.
https://innocaption.com
InnoCaption requires an additional telephone number. You can use your regular cellphone

Hi Glenda,
Sorry to hear about your daughter’s arm. I have an iMac and bought a mic that plugged into it. When my voice is close to the mic, the captions from speech-to-text are a lot better.
