I don’t TYPE very well ! and My Doctor can’t TYPE

Dear HLAA
BUT my Dr. doesn’t need to type ! He speaks ! into a microphone and the text gets displayed on the screen !! That is the kind of Speech to Text I want to use. Where. Is this?? The type of app you are looking for is called an automatic speech recognition (ASR) captioning app. An app using ASR does not require a live Captioner to type what is spoken.

Walt, there are a couple of ways to get speech to text on a computer. The first is an app that is built into Windows Ease of Access called Speech Recognition. You can als get Dragon NaturallySpeaking which will convert what you say into words. I hope this helps. On your phone, when you are ready to type a message, tap the microphone and it will display what you are saying in words.
