Projector to use with iPad for slide presentations

I have a January presentation in a meeting room in a restaurant.  I'll be talking about communication tips based on the HLAA tip cards. There is a microphone and screen.  What make and model of projector do you recommend I use with my iPad  so that the image is as large as possible?

If there’s any chance the restaurant has a monitor that will be much better than a projector and screen. Many places that rent venues do provide monitors.

Usually now called a 'display'. Like a TV, but takes video from a computer.

A digital screen. Your computer has a monitor. That’s the built-in screen that is the major visible part of the computer. With the popularity of laptops many people use their computers with supplementary monitors, most commonly 28 inches diagonally. But the monitors used for presentations are like jumbo TV screens. They are far more commonly used than the screens used with film projectors.

We last bought a projector for our meetings about five years ago.  We haven’t used it in years (Pandemic).  But I did check the size of the wall mounted screen and looked to find a projector that would fill it.  I cannot remember what brand we bought, but you could find out the screen size and look on the web for projectors that will cover that area.

I’ve never connected up my iPad to a projector, although I have adaptors to do so.  That is complicated if you have the new MI or M2 chip in your iPad.  I’d want to make sure I had the correct adaptors to connect to a projector.  The Apple Store could probably help you.

Thanks for the information Bob.  I have connected an ipad to a projector using an HDMI cable (I think), and that worked.  As we know, the technology can be different on whatever system we are using.  We always have to test things out ahead of time. I did find a projector another organization uses in the room I will be in, so I have to go there and try it out.

There are newer connection systems than HDMI, but it is possible to get adaptor devices that convert HDMI to a newer system.
