Re: Utilization of Audiology by vets

I disagree. Most of us are taught in the military to accept what our officers and non-coms give us. I think that it is the same way with the VA, except for a few people who go above and beyond to care for their veterans. At Long Beach, for example, I see a clerical staff that is much more interested in themselves and their cell phones than the veterans that they serve. I have been in the system long enough to know who to see for what. When my VA doctor was promoted and went to work for the region, I was assigned a replacement who was more interested in the clock than in me. I actually had to go to a VA remote clinic to find a doctor that I could trust. I see the same attitude with audiologists. Luckily, I have one of the best, but when I can get an appointment with him, I have yet to find another audiologist who seems to be really interested in me rather than just a body who needs to be serviced.
