Saluting our heroes

Veterans overlooking a sunset

Did you know that hearing loss is the most common service-connected disability, affecting 2.7 million of our nation’s veterans? HLAA was founded by Rocky Stone, a U.S. Army veteran who sustained hearing loss during his service, and today HLAA offers unique ongoing support to veterans.

Sgt. 1st Class (Ret.) David Schible lost his hearing during combat deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. He now helps other veterans navigate their hearing loss, as the vice president of HLAA’s virtual veteran’s chapter.
